The events programme is designed to form the Initiative, advance research, test methods, connect members to work programmes and create visible, reusable outcomes rather than one-off conversations.
Global Capability Founding Session
Status: proposed after UWL approval.
Purpose: confirm scope, appoint founding work leads, agree the 90-day plan and select pilot candidates.
Output: signed mobilisation charter, programme owners and milestone register.
Framework and Standards Roundtable
Policy, standards, research, ethics and community representatives refine the shared capability language.
Output: consultation draft and unresolved-issues register.
Index Methodology Review
Statisticians, economists, governments and cross-cultural experts test indicators, confidence and safeguards.
Output: methodology decision log and pilot scoring model.
Country and Regional Pilot Lab
Local leaders define priority questions, data constraints, participation, benefits and practical interventions.
Output: pilot charter, baseline and local governance plan.
Capability Leadership Masterclass
A practical learning session for leaders and programme teams on capability mapping, evidence and implementation.
Output: reusable learning module and participant action plans.
Quarterly Evidence and Legacy Review
Review activities, outputs, measurable outcomes, beneficiary evidence, stories, risks and next priorities.
Output: UWL-ready impact report and publication pipeline.
Event standard
Every event must leave something useful behind.
Approved purpose, participants, agenda, evidence questions and expected outputs.
Constructive, non-divisive dialogue with decisions, owners and evidence captured.
Actions, recordings, photographs, publications, decisions and impact evidence archived.
Reusable knowledge, stronger relationships and a clear contribution to the Initiative.
Host or contribute
Propose a forum, working group, research review or regional session.
All events and external engagement are subject to UWL approval following affiliation. The Initiative will independently organise its work while providing UWL the opportunity to participate, support and address approved events.
